Monto Rural Youth Support Service
The Monto Rural Youth Support Service (MRYSS) operates in the Monto and Eidsvold areas focusing on the needs of young people between the ages of 8-21.
By encouraging and participating in local needs based planning and assessment, our aim is to build relationships with young people at risk of disconnection in the region.
We also provide a support service to supply information, advice and referrals to other services and agencies whilst providing a holistic approach in assisting the targeted young people.
The MRYSS support team also offers case management to clients as required. From providing access to Youth Counsellors in more intensive circumstances to organising referrals to other appropriate services in the region. MRYSS work with a variety of community services aimed at supporting youth in the region.
Culturally Safe Environment
Creating a bond within the Indigenous community is of true value to the Monto Rural Youth Support Service. This helps to identify issues and implement activities for young people to support their requirements and priorities.
Youth Support & Counselling
MRYSS provides specialist youth services and counselling to 8-21 year olds residing in the Monto and Eidsvold area. These services are designed to meet the Service Agreement requirements with the Queensland Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
